Tonight's TV Report & Hollywood Griping
Has Hollywood really run out of original ideas for movies? I fear they have.
I read today that they are remaking Footloose. This movie does not need t be remade. The original is excellent in like 15 different ways, ans it's what? Not even 20 years old?
Completely unnecessary. What's going to be remade next? The Wizard of Oz?!
And my last thought on this? Saw a commercial for a new movie a few minutes ago.......Underdog. Live action. Nuff said.
Yay!! So You Think You Can Dance is back on tonight!!!!
I love Danny. He is my fav male dancer, and he is beautiful when he dances. So graceful. And fuck you judges for saying is he arrogant and over-confident. Y'all just jealous of his moves, yo.
Tied at practically second as my fav male dancers, are Dominic and Hok. Dom is sooo cute and such a cheeky lil' guy, but so humble, it's endearing. And is not Hak not a total renaissance man? He plays violin too! *loves*
And yes. Cedric does need to go home.
One thing SYTYCD has taught me, is to appreciate contemporary dance. In the past, I always scoffed at that style of dance, thinking it was formless and pretty much stupid - just a bunch of flailing around.
But know I get it. It's about the story, and the emotions. And it can be beautiful.
OMG!! Wasn't going to watch this, but I didn't turn off the TV after SYTYCD was over, and this Don't Forget The Lyrics game show? I so need to be on this show!!!! Like crazy need to be on it. I would so own it.
I am like a walking juke box, cuz I'm always singing everything and anything at any given time. There's like a part of my brain that collects useless knowledge and song lyrics. No joke.
And I can sing better than these people so far.
Alas, I would never be chosen to go on it. I have no problem singing in front of people, I love to do karaoke. But the producer type people that are in charge of who goes on? They wouldn't pick me. It's a trufax.
Back when Who Wants To Be a Millionaire was in it's hey-day, I went through the audition process. I passed the big-ass test they made us take with flying colors. And then they lined us up in small groups and interviewed us in front of cameras. I bombed. Apparently I don't have that thang that makes me pop on the screen.
Whatever, TV producer people. You all suck.
