for the first time in the history of....... well, EVER, i have finished my christmas shopping early. and it's not even december yet!!! i normally wait until practically the week of christmas to buckle down and get it done.
*fist pump*
so, yay me!!!!
in other news, j and i spent the entire afternoon in the movie theater yesterday. first we saw quantum of solace. ( my mini bond review )
after that we made our merry little way over to twilight. we wanted tp see madagascar 2 or four christmases, but they started later than we wanted to wait, so twilight it was. and yes, we were being bad and sneaking into a second movie. but dudes, this theater so owes me! a few years ago, right after they renovated, i slipped on the marble (or maybe granite) floors they had put in in the BATHROOM and tore the meniscus in my left knee to shreds so bad, that i had to have surgery to repair it. the theater management company denied my claim. and i hate how litigious people seem to be in this country, so i never filed suit. it was hard enough for me to even make the claim.
( my even mini-er vamp review ) and damn, if two of the most annoying girls ever weren't sitting next me; giggling and thrashing about, and one girl answered her phone not once, but twice and had full out coversations!!! i wanted to rip the phone out of her hands and throw it far, far away.
this afternoon frannie and i went with j and her dogs to some nearby open space to let them run. one of her little min pins is almost completely blind and he took off. he's never done that in past. he ran and ran away from us like he either had some secret doggie agenda we weren't privy to, or he was panicking. but damn if i have ever seen a blind dog run so fast and fleet! anyways, he ran up this hill and i went after him. it was steep and full of divots and guess what knee i hurt? the aforementioned bad one, karma huh? bleu finally stopped and i got him to come down to me and I carried him rest of the way down. j said she wished she'd had a camera to take a pic of fireman tiff doing doggie rescue. =)
