As you may have saw from my previous post, I wrote a great (I think) piece of fic and posted it, and have been getting some great feedback. And damn if that don't feel good!! Feedback is crack, yo!! So, if you have not read it yet, and the warnings don't put you off, of course - go read it! And leave feedback!

Had an appointment Saturday morning to have Bear groomed. Not clipped or anything like that. Mainly for his nails, as he will not let me cut them at all - I hurt him once when he was younger (yes - bad Mommy!!). So for $20 - which is a steal - they'll cut his nails, bath him, comb out that motherfucker of an undercoat he has, and clean his ears. So, into the truck he goes with me, a quick stop at Starbuck's for a nice cuppa, and off to The Dalmatian Station we went. When I pulled up to the strip mall that it's at, there were fire trucks everywhere - right in front of the grooming shop!!! I pulled in amongst the throng that was gathering, I asked some people standing around if everyone was all right, and if any dogs were hurt. The lady, whom I did not recognize as the manager at first, came up to me and said hi to Bear - who was all like "Oh a person! Looking at me! Pet me! Pet me!", and said that yes, it happened early that morning and they don’t keep any dogs overnight. Whew!! I was already about to cry (PMS and it's just tragic), and knowing no one was hurt helped. I feel bad for them. Cuz this is a "mom and pop" business, this is their life, their livelihood. She told me the girls that work there as groomers, this is their fulltime jobs, and they are freaked out. I would be too. It was a Peruvian store next to theirs that left something burning, that caused the fire. Nice. The grooming shop only sustained structural and smoke/water damage, and all of their equipment is okay. A guy who owns a detailing shop in the court that runs behind this strip mall had just offered her the extra space he has to set up shop in, and she expects to back in business later this week. What a nice guy! So, she'll call when they are back up, and then Bear can get the works.

That was Bear's lucky day, huh?

Took him for a walk later that afternoon, after I had brought him home and then went out to do the rest of my errands, and ended up on the junior high school track. I jogged about a quarter way around and he ran with me. I stopped mainly cuz I was out of breathe and so was he. More on jogging later…..what? Tiff jogging? I know scary…..so I continued walking him, and poor guy really started to drag. I ended up having to carry his 20 something pounds partway home. He just doesn't have the stamina he used too. I need to keep that in mind. Makes me sad...

Watched Casino Royale Saturday night. I thought it was really, really good. Quite excellent. Very different from the other 007 movies. Don't want to give too much away if you haven't seen it yet, but I can say (as the movie description does) that this movie is based from the first novel Ian Fleming wrote, and as such, this movie is about a very young James Bond, right after becoming a double-0. He is refreshingly rough, unfinished and far from perfect. Not everything just falls into place for him, like it does in some of the movies. I wasn't sure if I was going to like the new guy, Daniel Craig, but I did. He does a good Bond, and is kind of sexy too.

And that torture scene? OMG. Ouch. It made even me cringe. And it made the plot bunnies in my brain start thinking…..

So, about the jogging. Got it into my crazy head that I want to start jogging. Recently, my walks with Bear have left me wanting to go on further and longer, but he just can't make it. So, I will probably keep to walking him every other day, and on the others days, do more of a work out for me. I got up yesterday morning, and walked to the track. I ran about 1/2 a lap, and was way winded. I walked another whole lap, then jogged another 1/2 lap, than walked more and jogged the last 1/2 lap. 4 laps in total, I think that makes a mile. Go me. I was so winded by the time I was through, but not too hot, as there was a good breeze. Always is, where I live, windy It's nice, instant A/C!

I have no idea what's gotten into me. I haven’t been eating either. Go figure. In the last two weeks, I have barely been eating, and doing a lot of walking. I figure it's only a matter of time before it catches up with me and end up passed out somewhere, LOL!

Other than the jogging/walking at the track and going to Mass, didn’t do too much else yesterday. Just read bunches of Supernatural slash, my new crack. Oh what a life I lead. Go ahead, be jealous.
