so my mom's having major surgery this thursday, to have 3 vertebrae fused in her lower spine. it's an eight hour surgery and very risky due to her multitude of pre-existing conditions she has. i've been really stressed out about this and losing a lot of sleep.

buffyaddict13's mom is also having similar surgery on the both 13th and the 20th. she said, and i quote, "december appears to be national spinal surgery month. who knew?"please to be crossing fingers and toes and sending both our mommas good vibes, plus good vibes for buffy as she has an appointment of her own tomorrow for a health issue

magpiemamaand i spent sunday with mom. i brought frannie and sis brought my darling niece maddie. maddie thinks frannie is a her personal rag-dog and carries her around constantly. it's amusing. frannie gives a great "oh god help me" look.mom needed a new cell phone, as her hands are bad from arthritis and she has trouble holding & dialing the phone she has. sis needed a new one too as hers is dying a painful death, so we took mom to the verizon store. mom got a pretty pink razor and she bought us both new phones! early christmas present.

it's tiny and cute and i lurve it. the phone i had was fine, but mom wanted to add me th their family plan, as they've been helping me out with some bills, so i had to switch carriers. i'm not complaining. at all. my cutie phone has a camera and is mp3 player with 2gb memory. i've never had an ipod or mp3 player and have been wanting to test the waters. i may be convinced to give up tapes and cd's yet.
sis got the teal colored juke. we can text each other up the wazoo with out getting charged now. =)
i copied 168 songs from some of my favorite country cd's last night. i feel accomplished in this task.
