I am happy to report that I survived my first riding lesson!!!
Just got back & it was fun! Yes it was dark, but the arena was lighted.
I have decided that I maybe want to buy a horse, or more likely, lease a horse from someone. All the joy of riding without the financial commitment of owning. But need a refresher on the riding part. So I am taking lessons.
I did not fall off the horse, and was told I have a "great seat" . Now that's not to say that my ass will keep a seat if she decides to turn quickly or take off at a run. But as long as Sister (that's the horse's name) stays at a walk or a jog, it's all good.
My sister and I had a horse when we were kids, but that was 20 years a ago. Looking back, I don't think it was really skill that I possessed in riding, but more like a big lack of fear.
My ass is soooo gonna hurt tommorow.....
