i am so beyond words right now.

a few of you now that my younger sister got a DUI earlier this year. her license was suspended, and last week she started taking the court mandated drunk driving class, in which after completing the 9 week course and community service, she would get her license back.

she showed up drunk to the class yesterday and got kicked out of it.

*shakes head*

i want to help her through this, but she really won't talk to me anymore after i called her out a few weeks ago on how much she was drinking.

Oh, honey, I just don't even know what to say except *hugs you*

So so HARD to watch someone you love self-destructing.

thanks babe. she's going to get some help, and she and maddie are going to move in with parents, and that'll give her the support she needs, and will be great for maddie. they're so isolated where they live.

i am so glad to hear that they will move in with your parents! It sounds like they both need other people around right now. and definitely great for Maddie.

i'm so sorry about your sister. i know how difficult communication with a sister can be, especially when you're complete opposites.

if she'd rather not hear from you on the phone, perhaps you could send her a card/letter telling her how much you love her and don't want to lose her? that you'll support her and be there for her if she needs it? you may have already tried this, but if not, it's an option.

one of the few ways to help someone who's in a dark place is to make them see how they appear to the people who care about them. i wish you luck, and i am here whenever/if you want to talk.

*hugs*

thank you babe. we've always been really close and haven't had any problems in the past communicating, so i'm hopeful now that she's to the point where she is acknowledging she has a problem and is agreeable to getting help, that things will be easier now.

That sucks to the max. Im sorry about all that. Loved ones are sometimes infuriating because of the lack of control you have and the love you give is on opposite ends of the scale. Wishing you open hearts and minds to all those that surround you. *smishes*
