Well, it finally happened.
Had my very first accident on horseback yesterday. Was at a competition and decided to try a jumping event. I had never done this at a competition before, let alone pratice jumping. My thought was I would walk the course and let Banana just step over (or walk through) the poles set up for the jumps. My bad.....
Banana walked right through the first set of poles, knocking them down, and as we got the second set, he jumped!
And left me behind. Thought I was holding on, but apparently not. I went over and down six feet and landed squarely on my lower back and ass. Luckily - I have ample padding in that region of body. So I didn't break anything, but damn, it hurt!
My poor bum and back hurt sooo bad today. And if that wasn't bad enough, I have a cold too, so every time I cough, it kills me. =(
At least I won a $100 gift certificate to local western clothing store to make up for my pain and suffering. =) Those boots I have had my eyes on are so mine...............
